The City of Minneapolis Department of Public Works - Traffic & Parking Services division has two Principal Professional Engineer positions. One that will manage the planning/programming roles and the other operations/maintenance roles. Both positions report directly to the Director of Traffic and Parking Services
These positions perform professional administrative and engineering work by leading office and field teams involved in a variety of traffic activities.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college.
Experience: Two years as a Professional Engineer, which has included supervisory experience
Licenses/Certifications: Registration as a Professional Engineer.
As a condition of continued employment, registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota is required within six (6) months of hire.
Possess and continue to maintain a valid Driver's License.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience closely related to the duties of the position MAY be considered.
Traffic & Parking Services is a division of the Minneapolis Department of Public Works. Our division of over 150 employees covers implementation of projects related to the streets, sidewalks, alleys, bike lanes, and bike paths throughout Minneapolis.
