Fire Alarm Systems
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Ability to lead fire alarm department including staffing, workload balance, project delivery
Create and maintain effective relationships and communication with clients, potential clients, internal and field staff
Assist with identifying and securing new project opportunities including estimating and project management
Prepare and track project schedules and submittals
Select and manage subcontractors and material vendors as needed
Direct and coordinate project teams, including office and field staff
Track project costs, prepare change orders, prepare project cost reports and other related project documentation
Desired Qualifications:
Fire Alarm/Clean Agent Design Experience
State of Michigan Fire Alarm License
NICET Certified in Fire Alarm/Special Hazard Systems
3-5 Years Minimum of Direct Field Related Experience
Fire Protection Knowledge
Experience with Federal Contracts
Job Requirements:
Experience with installation/testing/maintenance of Fire Alarm and Special Hazard systems
Thorough knowledge of Uniform Fire Code, Uniform Building Code, State Administrative Code, and National Fire Code, as well as departmental rules, regulations, and NFPA.
Experience with fire alarm/releasing control panels and programming
Ability to work cooperatively with employees at all levels of the organization
Ability to be prompt and courteous when interacting with co-workers and Clients
Must be able to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and in an organized fashion
Must adhere to all safe practices
Computer skills: Microsoft Office (outlook, word, excel)
