Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ability to lead fire alarm department including staffing, workload balance, project delivery
• Create and maintain effective relationships and communication with clients, potential clients, internal and field staff
• Assist with identifying and securing new project opportunities including estimating and project management
• Prepare and track project schedules and submittals
• Select and manage subcontractors and material vendors as needed
• Direct and coordinate project teams, including office and field staff
• Track project costs, prepare change orders, prepare project cost reports and other related project documentation

Desired Qualifications:

• Fire Alarm/Clean Agent Design Experience
• State of Michigan Fire Alarm License
• NICET Certified in Fire Alarm/Special Hazard Systems
• 3-5 Years Minimum of Direct Field Related Experience
• Fire Protection Knowledge
• Experience with Federal Contracts

Job Requirements:

• Experience with installation/testing/maintenance of Fire Alarm and Special Hazard systems
• Thorough knowledge of Uniform Fire Code, Uniform Building Code, State Administrative Code, and National Fire Code, as well as departmental rules, regulations, and NFPA.
• Experience with fire alarm/releasing control panels and programming
• Ability to work cooperatively with employees at all levels of the organization
• Ability to be prompt and courteous when interacting with co-workers and Clients
• Must be able to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and in an organized fashion
• Must adhere to all safe practices
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office (outlook, word, excel)
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
