The City of Tualatin is excited to announce the opportunity to join our excellent Engineering team. This is a highly skilled and efficient group who is looking to add an individual whose passion is surrounding transportation engineering. Once the successful candidate passes probation, he or she can expect flexible scheduling opportunities such as a 9-80 schedule and/or working remotely a couple of days a week. The City is advertising at the Engineering Associate, and at the Project Engineer level. There is one position to fill. We will select the finalist who is the best match for the position.
The position performs engineering work related to capital improvement project design and management, transportation studies, traffic safety evaluations, traffic control plans, construction oversight, private development projects, and regional transportation discussions. The successful candidate will represent the City with agency partners, and assist with managing the City transportation system. Preparing reports and giving presentations to staff, other agencies, and citizen groups is also a key part of the position. Communicating with the public and other agencies to learn their perspectives and concerns about the transportation system and other City infrastructure, and potential future capital projects will be integral. Assignments are general in nature, requiring the application of technical skill and knowledge.
