The DuBois & King Bridge Department Manager and Practice Lead serves as the lead position of all bridge engineering operations at D&K. This is a senior engineering management position and reports directly to the Director of Transportation.
10 Years Bridge Design Experience
3 Years of Bridge Design Lead Experience
Professional Engineer (P.E.) License (Required)
Strong working knowledge of AASHTO Bridge Design
US work authorization (Required)
This is a peer position with other Practice Lead positions within the firm. This position works closely and proactively with divisional leadership throughout the firm and contributes to the overall direction of the firm.
The position serves as the lead bridge manager and engineer of record and provides quality control and general direction to divisional staff. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: project planning, inspection phase duties, design, management, and business development as generally outlined below.
A sample of overall responsibilities of this position include (not limited to):
1. Serve in responsible charge of all bridge engineering operations
2. Project management functions as required for projects assigned and/or being marketed by the Bridge Engineering Group
3. Engineering / technical responsibilities: Project planning, inspection phase duties, design and management – “hands on” involvement in completing a wide-range of bridge engineering related functions for commercial, industrial, institutional, recreational and municipal projects. This will include projects in the planning/conceptual development phase, preliminary/schematic design, design/working drawings, preparation of specifications and construction documents, support during the construction phase of projects (i.e. bidding assistance, administration, field reviews/inspections and problem resolution) and preparation of cost estimates.
