Lamp Rynearson is seeking a Senior Certified Planner to incorporate into the landscape architecture team to strengthen existing services and help expand into new sectors. As a planning entrepreneur you will receive the full support of Lamp Rynearson, the LA Team, and the Leadership Team to help build relationships, pursue opportunities, and formulate procedures for creating community changing projects. Manage and coordinate the following:
Transit, corridor, and parking demand studies
Pedestrian and bicycle studies
Help coordinate geographic information systems
NEPA environmental studies and analysis
Manage, prepare, and research grant opportunities;
Help guide clients on local policies
Signage and wayfinding strategies
Degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Transportation Planning, Geography, or another related field.
Minimum 10 - 15 years of experience with an architecture/engineering/planning consulting firm, metropolitan planning organization, local planning agency, state department of transportation or another similar agency.
Project experience that may include comprehensive plans, long-range transportation plans, geographic information systems, travel demand models, corridor location/feasibility studies, environmental studies, transit studies, pedestrian & bicycle studies, economic analysis, and public/agency involvement. Public speaking experience.
In this position, the candidate may:
Help coordinate strategic direction of planning-oriented projects and pursuits.
Prepare reports and presentations to the city, council, business groups, neighborhood groups, and professionals.
Organize and facilitate the public participation exercises or charrettes, visualization techniques, and group work in the development of a plan.
Participate in business development efforts as directed and supported by senior leadership.
Maintain relationships with state and local agencies, clients, and peer consulting organizations and serve as a point of contact for planning-oriented services.
Direct, facilitate, and participate in project meetings, as necessary, with multi-disciplinary project team, client stakeholders, public, and others.
Direct, review and assist, when necessary, with development of reports, exhibits, documentation, materials, and any other information required to document the results of the study or project.
Coordinate the collection, assimilation and analysis of the data, information and documentation for the study or project.
Lead the analysis and preparation of planning elements for planning-oriented studies.
Maintain and strengthen client relationships and plays a key role in client management and satisfaction.
Research and prepare grant applications and coordinate implementation. Coordinate grants with local planning agencies.
