| CORE COMPETENCIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES Job Technical Skills – Under direct supervision, supports engineering and technical activities concerning existing and proposed electrical services, rebuilds, relocations, and new installations of distribution, street light, and fiber communication systems. Specific responsibilities include design and work order preparation, material selection, writing specifications, bid evaluations, coordination with consulting services, budget projections, and preparation of feasibility studies. May lead small projects with minimal guidance. Consistent and reliable attendance is required. - Obtains information from field observations, GIS record maps, construction drawings, and other related sources to properly plan new developments to ensure future growth can properly be served.
- Under direct supervision, writes work orders and prepares drawings for the construction of capital improvement projects.
- Under direct supervision, performs a variety of engineering related calculations.
- Under direct supervision, prepares written communications, estimates, and other technical documentation for customers, contractors, developers, and other interested parties.
- May lead small projects with minimal guidance.
