If you’re an experienced business development professional with a mind for sales, Parsons has an opportunity for you! We are seeking a Senior Business Development Director to lead and direct pursuits of high profile, multimillion-dollar Water and Wastewater projects. If selected, you will be responsible for continuing Parsons’ reputation as one of the world’s leading technical and engineering firms.
In this role you will provide business development leadership and direction for opportunities in the west with a particular focus on the Southern California market. With your understanding of complex business negotiations, you will recognize and act upon opportunities to promote the Company's expertise and successful past performance.
The successful candidate can be based in Pasadena, Irvine, or Ontario, CA.
Keep abreast of overall business trends.
Execute long-term business and marketing strategies.
Direct marketing campaigns to establish and cultivate long-term relationships with key clients.
Seek opportunities to strengthen relationships with existing clients.
Identify new clients in Southern California and develop effective sales strategies.
Provide leadership and guidance to proposal teams.
Oversee the development of the pricing structures, and other contract terms and conditions.
Manage significant proposal efforts.
Negotiate contracts, including non-disclosure agreements and joint venture agreements.
Act as sponsor during project execution.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business (or equivalent)
25+ years of diversified experience, primarily within the business development realm of a large, multinational company, is required
A successful track record of winning water and wastewater work in California
A strong network of contacts with clients and contractors in the California water market.
A thorough understanding of proposal pricing, contract terminology, negotiations with potential clients is required.
Must possess strong written and oral communication skills, including excellent video and live presentation skills.
