The Architect of the Capitol seeks an experienced High Voltage Electrician Assistant Supervisor who shares responsibility with the High Voltage Electrician Supervisor for assigning, directing and reviewing the work of subordinates and evaluating their work performance; planning, scheduling and coordinating work operations; and solving problems related to the work performed by Branch employees. This position is located in the Utilities and Power Plant Operations, Maintenance Division, Electrical Branch. The Assistant Supervisor performs: -Troubleshooting, maintenance, diagnosis, inspection, repair, overhaul and installation of complex electrical distribution equipment and systems including working on energized high voltage equipment. -Diagnoses troubleshoots and determines necessary repair work requiring operation of systems, transferring loads, dispatching power, isolating and/or making safe clearances on above equipment. -Eliminates or prevents fault caused by induction, stress impedance mismatch, transformer polarity, system phase relation, power failure cascade, or corona.
