As a Fire Alarm Systems Technician at Power Design, you’ll get the opportunity to work for the largest distributor of Gamewell-FCI and Notifier systems in the United States. You’ll have access to innovative technologies in the field, including a fully-equipped iPad, laptop, and smartphone. In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the installation, troubleshooting and commissioning of fire alarm systems on large-scale construction projects.
Our state-of-the-art headquarters is based out of St. Petersburg, FL, with 270+ active projects across 25 states. We’re looking for talented Fire Alarm Technicians nationwide with specific current needs in the following metro areas – Denver CO, Washington DC, Charlotte NC, Austin TX, Nashville TN, and Seattle WA.
As the technical adviser on fire alarm systems programming and configuration, work with installation team and local jurisdiction (fire marshal) to ensure that all code requirements are met and compliant.
Act as a liaison between the project team, other trades and customers, partnering with the superintendent and foremen to ensure production is on track.
Utilize technology such as company-provided iPad and smartphone to ensure the job gets done on time, adheres to the blueprints and specifications, and exceeds customer expectations.
here’s what we’re looking for…
At least 3-5 years of related work experience, preferably with large commercial installations.
Gamewell-FCI and / or Notifier certifications.
NICET I & II fire alarm certification(s) highly preferred; required for Washington DC metro.
Texas Fire Alarm Technician (FAL) certification required (for Texas ONLY).
Denver Fire Alarm Systems Installer Card (Blue Card) required (for Denver ONLY).
Proficient knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes and construction safety requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
As the regional subject matter expert for life safety and fire alarm, you must be willing to travel as required.
