Ensure that appropriate QA policies and procedures are developed and implemented to be compliant with national and international regulatory requirements.
Facilitate the planning and realization of internal audits, suppliers’ audits, as well as the following programs: deviations, investigations, change control, CAPA and complaints.
Ensure accurate inventory controls and audits for raw materials, packaging and products.
Participate in qualification, validation and calibration activities, including manufacturing processes, cleaning processes and software.
Participate in Board of Health audits and assist in reporting requirements.
Ensure internal audits are effective and complete.
Monitor regulatory changes that may impact the site.
Provide guidance, support and training to employees to ensure they contribute to the quality system.
A B.Sc. in a natural or applied science (biochemistry, chemistry, microbiology or chemical science) with 5-10 years’ experience is required.
Management experience is required.
Experience in a regulated (GLP, GMP) manufacturing environment is preferred.
Quality Auditor, Quality Management or similar certification/training is considered an asset.
Knowledge of Pharmacopoeia, FDR and or Cannabis Act would be considered an asset.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
